Made to Measure Garden Fence

About This Project

Bespoke Garden Fencing Designed and Built to Last

A well-designed garden fence can do far more than define the boundary of a property. The right fencing can improve privacy, enhance the appearance of an outdoor space and provide a durable boundary that is built to withstand the changing British weather.

We recently completed a bespoke garden fencing project for a local customer, designing and constructing a made-to-measure fence specifically for the space. The finished installation combines durable materials, traditional styling and careful workmanship to create a garden boundary that is both practical and attractive.

Our clients were delighted with the finished result, and this project is another example of why bespoke fencing can be an excellent alternative to standard off-the-shelf panels.

Made-to-Measure Garden Fencing

Every garden is different, and standard fencing panels do not always provide the best fit. For this project, each section of the fence was built on site to suit the dimensions and layout of the garden.

A made-to-measure approach allows greater attention to the individual characteristics of the space, helping create a more accurate installation. It can also provide a stronger and more professional finish than simply relying on standard-sized prefabricated panels.

Building the fence specifically for the garden meant we could take care of the finer details, ensuring the finished boundary fitted naturally into its surroundings.

Durable Concrete Fence Posts and Gravel Boards

The new fence was constructed using concrete posts and concrete gravel boards, providing a robust foundation for the timber fencing.

Concrete fence posts are a popular choice for homeowners looking for a strong and durable fencing structure. Unlike traditional timber posts, concrete is not susceptible to the same types of rot and deterioration associated with prolonged exposure to moisture.

Concrete gravel boards were also installed at the base of the fence. These help separate the timber panels from direct contact with the ground, offering additional protection while making the lower section of the installation easier to maintain.

Together, the concrete posts and gravel boards provide a solid framework designed to support the fence for many years.

Treated Feather Edge Timber

For the fencing panels themselves, we used treated feather edge timber. This traditional style provides an attractive, solid appearance while offering the strength and durability required for a garden boundary.

The treatment helps the timber withstand outdoor conditions, while the feather edge design creates a clean and distinctive finish. It is a versatile fencing option that can complement a wide range of gardens and property styles.

When combined with concrete posts and gravel boards, treated feather edge boards create a practical fencing system that balances appearance, durability and ease of maintenance.

Bespoke Garden Gate

The project also included a bespoke garden gate designed and built to complement the new fencing. Having the gate made to match the surrounding fence creates a cohesive appearance rather than making it look like a separate addition.

The gate was fitted with galvanised ironmongery, selected to provide a durable finish suitable for outdoor use. Galvanised fittings offer increased resistance to corrosion, making them a practical choice for garden gates that are exposed to rain and changing weather conditions.

Quality Fencing with Attention to Detail

From the initial design through to construction and installation, the focus of this project was on creating a fence that was properly suited to the garden rather than relying on a standard solution.

The combination of bespoke construction, concrete posts, concrete gravel boards, treated feather edge timber and a matching garden gate has produced a strong and attractive result that our customers are extremely pleased with.

If you are considering bespoke garden fencing, feather edge fencing, concrete fence posts or a made-to-measure garden gate, professional installation can make a significant difference to the finished result.
